Fellabær is a residential town in Fljótsdalshérað in eastern Iceland. It lies north of the Lagarfljót River, directly opposite Egilsstaðir. Together, the two communities form the main urban area of East Iceland.
Development of Fellabær began in the latter half of the 20th century, and the town has gradually grown as a residential center closely connected to the commercial and cultural life of Egilsstaðir. Its riverside setting provides scenic surroundings and easy access to nearby nature.
