Laugaland Campsite is a sheltered and family-friendly campsite located in Rangárvallasýsla in South Iceland. The site lies approximately 6 km from Route 1 and is accessed via Road 26 (Landvegur), the same turnoff used for Galtalækur Forest.
The campsite is about 35 km from Selfoss and roughly 90 km from Reykjavík. Its peaceful surroundings and scenic landscape make it ideal for hiking and outdoor recreation. Quiet hours begin around midnight.
Recently expanded, the campsite is divided into two main areas. Facilities for children are excellent, with three playgrounds including climbing frames and trampolines. Two football pitches are available, one artificial grass field and one gravel field.
On site is a swimming pool featuring hot tubs, a waterslide and a steam bath. Additional facilities include outdoor grills, picnic tables, electricity hookups, chemical toilet disposal and modern sanitary facilities.
Dogs are permitted provided they are kept on a leash. The campsite is open each year from 15 May to 15 September.
