Laufás Church is located at Laufás in Eyjafjörður, North Iceland. It is one of the region’s best-known wooden churches and stands on a concrete foundation.
The church measures just over ten meters in length and approximately six meters in width. It features a cross-gabled roof and a square tower at the front, topped with a distinctive multi-level spire that defines the church’s silhouette.
The exterior is clad in traditional wooden paneling, while the roof is covered with metal sheeting. The windows are evenly placed along the sides and choir, each divided into six panes and decorated in a style typical of late 19th-century Icelandic church architecture.
Laufás Church forms part of the historic Laufás Museum and reflects the craftsmanship and architectural traditions of earlier generations in the Eyjafjörður region.
