Skildinganes is a peninsula in western Reykjavík, located between Nauthólsvík and Skerjafjörður bay. The area is known for its scenic coastline, walking paths, and close proximity to the city centre.
During the 19th century, the Skildinganes farm stood here and played an important role in the early settlement history of Reykjavík. The farm was connected to nearby holdings, including Nauthóll.
Today, Skildinganes is a popular recreational area offering coastal trails, rich birdlife and open views across Faxaflói Bay. It is especially popular with walkers, runners and outdoor enthusiasts.
