Gjárfoss is a scenic waterfall located in Gjáin gorge in Þjórsárdalur, South Iceland. It is the largest and most prominent waterfall in the gorge and flows in the Rauðá river through a lush and diverse landscape.
The waterfall cascades into a narrow gorge, creating a smooth yet powerful flow of water. The surroundings are exceptionally green, with springs, small streams, and rich vegetation that give the area an almost garden-like appearance.
