Miðgarðakirkja is a small wooden church located at the farm Miðgarðar in North Iceland. The building reflects the traditional rural church architecture common in the late 19th century.
The church measures approximately 7.7 meters in length and 4.8 meters in width, with a smaller choir attached. A two-part tower rises at the front of the church, extending above the roof ridge and giving the building its distinctive profile.
The roofs of the nave and choir are cross-gabled and covered with metal sheeting, while the tower roof is clad in smooth metal. The structure stands on a concrete foundation and is protected by a simple exterior cladding.
Windows are evenly spaced along the sides of the church and choir and are divided into three sections. The entrance features double wooden doors that mark the front façade.
Miðgarðakirkja forms part of the local cultural heritage and reflects the modest, functional design that characterized Icelandic rural churches for generations.
