Stuðlafoss is a waterfall located in Jökuldalur valley in the Fljótsdalshérað region of East Iceland. It lies along the popular hiking route to Stuðlagil canyon and is set within impressive and well-formed columnar basalt.
The water cascades between tall basalt columns, creating a striking geological setting. The combination of the waterfall and the dramatic rock formations makes Stuðlafoss a memorable stop along the trail.
Stuðlafoss is an excellent place to pause while hiking toward Stuðlagil, offering a chance to enjoy both the natural power of the waterfall and the unique volcanic landscape of East Iceland.
Stuðlafoss er áhugaverður staður á Íslandi sem vert er að heimsækja.
