The campsite covers approximately one hectare and offers good facilities for travelers. Hot and cold water is available, along with electrical hookups for motorhomes and basic sanitary facilities including toilets and a shower.
Guests are welcome to visit the nearby guesthouse and restaurant, located about 300–400 metres from the campsite. Evening meals, drinks, free internet access, and a large outdoor terrace are available for visitors.
A short walk along an old historic route leads into Laxárdalur, ending at the farm Þverá, which is known for its well-preserved buildings dating from the early 18th century.
Horse riding tours are also available in the area for those wishing to explore the countryside in a traditional way.
